Regina Lee is an artist and gallery owner living in Galveston, Texas. Her latest project is Kindred Studios, a new concept melding a gallery, maker space and event venue. She and her four art partners are creating a vibrant art hub in downtown, focusing on experience, in addition to art exhibition and sales. Her goal is to bring together kindred spirits in a welcoming environment where everyone can create, celebrate and thrive.

Reg has always loved creating, making collages and art objects from a young age. She chose careers in journalism and teaching, but the desire to make art never left. She’s most recently focused on painting, mixed media and assemblage. The work reflects a lifetime of writing, often incorporating bits of original poetry and text. Her art usually tells a story and conveys a deeper message. Most pieces spring straight from her imagination or from the endless inspiration of her island home. Bold use of color, texture, paper and line drawing are common in pieces that create moody, memorable atmospheres.
